Yep the upcoming super snake package makes the shelby even more interesting.

Sorry but i'd still take the challenger

It handles

It looks cooler

It isnt based off of a car you see every time you turn the corner

And despite it being slightly slower, it is 75hp less and its N/A.

To add to offroadkarters list, the SRT8 seats 5.

The KR's probably close to double the SRT8's OTD price.

In the end, the lighter 4.6L Mustang was able to keep up with the heavier SRT8 Challenger in the numbers game.

Ain't nobody getting the 2008 Shelby GT500 Mustang Coupe at the stated price of (MSRP $42,170). There's still a $10-15K dealer mark-up around here. Don't know about the Challenger though.

Ford makes it harder, and harder, for people to want the Shelby. The Romeo Niche line, can only handle building so many blocks (I.E can't mass produce them in a short amount of time.) But the real kicker is, the *****ing dealer's who tack on an extra $10-20k markup on it. In the end, give me an '03/04 Cobra, a TT or T/S kit and blow the doors off any SRT and Shelby for way less $$.

You mean like the Marauder? :)

Is Chrysler not going to make a bunch of 'base' models with 6 cyl ?

Who at Chrysler gave the car a slush box. I always say there is no point to an automatic mustang.

Ill take the Challenger please. Make that Plum Crazy with a manual trans, black leather interior and a big hemi. Mustangs are nice but a dime a dozen.

I disagree. I can't get use to the rear of the car, and think it looks ugly. It may be 75hp less, but for about $500 bucks, you can get a smaller pulley, and a re-tune and be well over 100-200hp over the Challenger. And just wait until the SRT's are released, dealer's will be jacking up the price on these as well. People here in my town are already willing to pay $10k OVER dealer sticker just to have one.

I'm just waiting to line up against an SRT8 Challenger with a big black supercharged 4 door sedan and blow the doors of it.

I was a Mopar man before I came to the blue oval curse so Im torn between the two. I really dont care for 2 door cars to begin with but they are both very impressive! I would have to wait until next year for the SRT-8 because I dont see a point in an automatic. Mustangs are proven monsters but I have seen the numbers for a S/Cd 6.1 and there is no replacement for displacement. I think this would come down to a coin toss for me personally.

The Challenger is bad a$$.... I have priced one through their online 'built it' thing many times. I have even thought of selling my Marauder to get money to help cover the dealer premiums and high sticker these things have.

I want one BAD... Anyone here own a dealership?????

Fahq the KB, I'd go with the soon to be in production Procharger for the GT500. 900+rwhp.

Personnaly, I'd pass on both, and pick up the new Camaro, when it comes out (early next year) and save about $10K (based on sticker prices)...

The Charger SRT-8 is one of my favorite cars....which is funny cause I hate the V6 Chargers. Must be the hood scoop and the 20" wheels...oh yeah and the 6.1L Hemi.

Don't forget that Old man Shelby gets a pretty penny for each FORD with his name stuck on the back...

I think the new Camaro looks like a catfish from the front:puke: But I have no doubts it will be inpressive.
