Thanks! I wonder why they're letting their album go for free?

I think for Trent, it's more about the music than the money at this point. This is the second album in a row distributed for free. If he decided to charge $20 for the next album, hundreds of thousands of people would still buy it in the first week. I've loved most of his stuff since Pretty Hate Machine, and I'll be listening for years to come, when the young whippersnappers say, "Why are you listening to oldie-moldy mp3s, when you can beam the concert directly into your brain?"

or use a ten minute email address.

G-mail records all your emails and sells them.

Someone hocked a loogie on my newly cleaned car while I was in a local bar having a drink with my brother, and I was planning on writing an open letter to slack-jawed mouth breathers with no discipline, but this caught my eye first and stole the energy from my previous venture.

This seems like an unfounded claim out of left field:

G-mail records all your emails and sells them.

Do you have any documentation or proof of this hypothesis, or is it wild speculation from conspiracy nuts on the internet? Or are you interpreting Adsense to be "selling the contents of emails"?

Information sharing and onward transfer: We provide advertisers only aggregated non-personal information such as the number of times one of their ads was clicked. We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described in the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html), such as when we believe we are required to do so by law.

Information sharing:
Google only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Google in the following limited circumstances:
We have your consent. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.

Or are you flat out calling Google's legal documentation a fabrication?

I've had a Gmail account for 4 years, and I've received two (2) pieces of junk mail in my inbox, so if Google were circumventing their own policies and selling my emails to a company, what is that company doing with them? And is it only to *****-enlargement-viagra-prescription-meds-insatiable-girls companies?

Oh, and the last nail in the coffin:
Google Terms of Service, Sections 9 and 11, Proprietary rights and Content License from you
9.4 Other than the limited license set forth in Section 11, Google acknowledges and agrees that it obtains no right, title or interest from you (or your licensors) under these Terms in or to any Content that you submit, post, transmit or display on, or through, the Services, including any intellectual property rights which subsist in that Content (whether those rights happen to be registered or not, and wherever in the world those rights may exist). Unless you have agreed otherwise in writing with Google, you agree that you are responsible for protecting and enforcing those rights and that Google has no obligation to do so on your behalf.
11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services and may be revoked for certain Services as defined in the Additional Terms of those Services.
Google can use your content to advertise its own services, but you retain the intellectual property rights, and Google can't "sell your emails" without blatantly disregarding its own policies and breaking intellectual property laws.
