While I was at work today, I found a Consumer Reports magazine lying around so I decided to see what it said about my car. First of all, there was no separate Marauder listing. I wasn't surprised by that. I was actually expecting not to see my car in this at all. I decided to read the Grand Marquis review just for the hell of it. I've gotten use to this car continuously being overlooked. Whenever I go to buy an oil filter and look up the Marauder in a parts book, it's always listed as a Ford Marauder, never Mercury. I'm tired of this car always being ignored, overlooked, and bashed in reviews. Here's the article.

What the :censor:! Pseudo sport! Felt little difference!
Also, I just noticed this now. Look at the chart of the of prices and look at the price jump for the high end of the ranges for 2003-2004. I wonder why that is?

The person that wrote this must have gotten second rate info from a chevy guy!!! WOW at the almost $10k price range...I wonder if that had anything to do with the Marauder....Naw I doubt it!!!

Most people have no idea what a Marauder is.

Ok theres alot wrong with that article
the picture shown is an 06 model, not an 05
Bench seat is a standard, but its not like thats the only seat it comes with
And with the MGM running high 15's and the marauders running high 14's low 15's i would call that a big difference.
handling isnt clumsy if you got the HPP package

Consumer reports is a joke. I flipped through a copy my dad had recently and they had different problems listed for the same year crown vics & grand marquis. How does one differ so much from the other? They're records of problems have never applied to any of my previous vehicles. Just my 2 cents.

Consumer Reports is BS. When the Dodge Omni came out in 79 they hated it. Next year they loved it and really thought Dodge had done alot to fix its problems. You know what Dodge changed? The F-in door handles. Thats it.:run:

As I was leaving WalMart one day throught the garge area I overheard some employees remarking about my car "That's a Marauder, It's just an appearance package, any Crown Vic can beat it." Of course I had to school them in thier ignorance and took all of my control not to leave two black strips out of the parking lot! Talk about no respect.

That has happened to me too. But in my case, it was in my favor. I have an insurance agent with my car insurance. When I insured the Marauder, I had to show him the car. Luckily he thinks the Marauder is an aperence package too. My sister is paying more insurance than me driving a 6 cylinder firebird because he thinks i'm driving an old fart mobile.

Usually people over-estimate the car at least from what I've noticed first hand. "Oh thats the supercharged 5-4 right?? Wow" I'm like, "I think so.."
