After 4 1/4 years of living through hell in a handbasket I finally got my dream job!

Ive been building crappy low quality air conditioners with Lennox's nameplates on them. The place is a frikin joke, when I started there the auditers could actually stop production because of quality, parts shortage, and whatever need be.

Now within the last 2 yrs they just send out junk, scratched units, dented copper, wrong parts, whatever!

On top of that, its now, run X amount of units, and if you dont they try to write you up for loafing, insuboardanation, etc.

While im tired of it, and Ive been applying at places that I want to work at.

Yesterday I had my interview at the local GM/Dodge/Honda dealership and we sat and BS about the new shop tools and oils and everything shop related. No exhaust bender, no custom MM exhaust :(

He called me back today and asked when I could start, I said monday, So I got to round up all my tools and get them organized for the shop.

Im very excited about leaving Lennox, but very nervous about starting A new job.

I went in today, clocked in, and told the group leader (like a supervisor/slave for the line I work on) that he need to find someone to cover me, then I started making the rounds talking to all the people I know and like that its probably the last time they will see me. (except for the at the gas station, new job, store, etc.)

I just wanted to share with my MM people.

I feel like a weight is gone off my shoulders, and Im no longer chained at the ankle!

also i recommend to anyone, buy a Trane.

Way better quality than Lennox, and after 2010, Lennox will be Hencho en mexico (made in mexico), or however they say it.

Made like $#!t in the @$$hole of the world

Congrats and good luck.

I worked the same place for 18 years, the last 5 were he11.

Don't get frustrated if it takes a while to make the rate/time. You'll get better as time goes on. Before you know it, You'll be crushing the times (as long as you have small hands) and all will be good.

Congrats and good luck! A job is what you make of it. I agree with Charlie, always be 10 minutes early, its cheap insurance.

Today there are few very few companys that hand out gold watches and retirement packages. Do what you love best. Always deliver as if it were your company and the money will follow. Best of luck.

Best of luck to you.

I've been at my dealership for 22 years now but let me
tell you, I had to kiss a lot of toads before that.

When you stop and think that you spend more of your waking time at work that at any thing else it's important that you not hate what you do. It'll eat you up.
