Dennis, you've got a pic in the gallery of a blue MM with a chrome grill. What's the story?

I've been thinking about a chrome grill for my black MM, at least now I've got an idea of what it would look like.

Dennis is right, on a blue MM it would look fine, but on a BLACK one?
TOO MUCH CHROME!!!

I think it would be great for the "sleeper" effect alone. It would really look like a GM then. I think the spoiler and side ID graphics on your car would betray you but it would be different.

We'll, I haven't done it YET. But if I come across a chrome grill for a good price, I may just go for it. It can always come back off if I don't like it. Or if I get too much flack from you guys at Ennis!:coolman:

But I do agree, too much chrome. It makes the car look too much like the Grand Marquis again.

I shall reserve judgment until I see the results. I like Racerx88's car as is but then again I spent last night painting my coil covers, fuse cover and linkage cover blue. I think you try it and see how it looks- since the price is right. Go for it, Dean!!!!

I did the following (NOT claiming it's the best way):
1) Removed everything.
2) Removed the Intech 4.6 tage from the left cover with a Sears card.
3) Scotchbrite on a Dremel tool to prep.
3) Grey primer
4) Hi-temp engine paint
I just did this yesterday and don't know if it will last etc...

Ahh spelling... the great bane of my existance. I can't spell, never been able to, never will. I am a product of DoD schools.
And you can NEVER have to much chrome.,

hmm, sears card eh? Thought with a classy ride like the MM, you would have at least used a Neiman-Marcus card!! :)

Heh! Sans-A-Belt.
Immediately my mind races back in time to the old geezer down the block racing out onto his porch in his white polyester sansabelts pulled half-way up his chest to scream at me to get off his #&&%* lawn.
He had matching white shoes too.
Back to the topic at hand... chrome grill on the MM. I like it on the blue. The silver and the black doesn't work for me. I dunno about red yet.
What would a chrome outers look like with body color inners? Or reverse that to body colored outer with chrome inners. Hmmm.

The question is:
would the grille look good with
1) a chrome outer section with body colored vertical fins
or
2) body colored outer section with chrome fins
#2 might not look bad

marauderman -> Listen to jerrym3. He is right. Good translation.
TAF -> Has he RF yelled at you for lawn territory transgressions?
RF -> I *wasn't* on your lawn, man! Don't harsh my buzz.

I really don't like it. Why not put chrome around the wheel wells and put a fake rag top on it too. The grille makes it look to much like a Grand Marquis.

I have no idea what either of you are talking about...you are both obviously smoking crack cocaine or some other controlled substance and if this harassment persists, I will be forced to narc on your stash...
