It is the treatment where you have the tailights painted to match you car. I believe if you do a search you will find many illustrations

Its so much more than that. S55 was a package that came on a select few 60s marauders ( IIRC 63 1/2 and on).
The plan was to do a S55 Version of todays MM, but when Elena scrapped the plan, the S55 concept had already leaked.

I wouldn't know if they still make it, but I got mine from Car Motorsports(I think). Being I got mine in red, (which is what the S55 concept had) no oxidation. Although, I had to repaint the space between the letters black because they came red. It looked strange with the red bars connecting the letters.
Alot of pollen on my car in this pic.

The S-55 first appeared in 1962 and was repeated in 1963. It wasn't an option package but a separate model and was Mercury's top of the line. It came as both a Monterey ('62 & '63) and a Marauder ('63). Its major feature was the bucket seats and console, but it also included a more powerful standard engine, floor shifter, padded dash, and tri-color wheel covers.
It appeared again in '66 and '67 and was called the Mercury S-55 rather than Monterey S-55 or Marauder S-55. This model was the Mercury version of the 7-Litre Galaxie and came standard with a 345 hp 428.
These were the only 4 years for the S-55.
