Woot! 17 of 18! I did guess on a few but they were educated guesses thanks to multiple choice!
Some of the pics are too small, one hardly had any detail it made guessing hard. Also one of the old's ones had "Oldsmobile Rocket" on the valve cover, which helped eliminate 2 of the 4 mulitple choice options! Still you had to know your rocket motors (early vs later) - I got lucky on that one.
17 out of 18! The second hemi got me.

My father has 1940 ford pickup with a seized up 364ci nailhead in it, he's been trying to get rid of it for years, it needs a total restoration

It has an EGR port in the intake manifold, so it can't be a 56' Olds, I was leaning toward a Ford V-8, but it's big maybe a Y block 331, 361, 391 truck, industrial? (like in the old U-haul's)

Start a new thread in the "other cars for sale" section!
The price sounds good if there is enough remaining to work with.
I can hear it now:
"Honey, do we have a spare $1,500?........"

Ok will do!
Cool game! I should've gotten 17 but only got 15 right. The picture is an Olds post emissions era (>'72), probably a 350cid due to the two-barrel intake. They did produce some smogger 403's and 455's with two-barrel carburetors though!

BTW, I know I got to see that motor in the woods up close compared to the rest of you, but I never pulled any #'s off of it.
I'm thinking it's a Dodge 360 van motor.

For my age I have a pretty decent Idea of what to look for combined with the process of elimination which yeilded me a pretty good score. Remember, the younger guys here do drive Marauders so there is probably a uniform interest in muscle cars. Try giving this to most 19 year olds; it would be all random guesses.

Mid 70's olds 455 Big block...wide intake, big heads with small valve covers and has to be newer than 50-60 due to EGR port in intake...check the casting letter if it's a "C" then you can sell that as a pretty hefty core...if "k" or "j" smogger heads=crap...
