For some strange reason, my air suspension doesn't engage anymore. I noticed it last night when leaving from work. I didn't hear it kick in. I usually wait for that to finish before I take off. Again this morning....no noise. The air suspension has activated each time I have started the car since I purchased it. It has become a habit to listen to it engage each time I start the car, so when I didn't hear it....I got a little worried.

I checked the obvious:
Fuse ok (otherwise my reverse lamps, day/night mirror, climate control, nor my shift lock would function correctly)

Checked the switch in the trunk. It's in the "On" position.

Any ideas before I take it to the dealer?

just for fun, load up the back seat with some friends, before you get in,then start the car and see if it raises to normal ride hieght.
You could have them get in the trunk but that wouldn't be polite.

If the rear stays low,it's off to the dealer.

Hi,

It is possible things have changed, but in the old days (93) the air ride was supposed to time out & lower slightly after a period of key off. (I think about 30 min).

I was told at the time that this was to prolong the life of the air bladders by letting the car sit most of its life at a pressure lower than that required while underway.

So if you got back in your car after a period of time the pump would always kick on. It used to scare my wife while she was in the garden. The car would be just sitting there by itself and the air would vent when it hit the time out.

I say this because I believe it is dealer visit time even if the car
pumps up with an additional passenger load.
