I see funny cychadelic black and white bars floating abround the room. Everytime I look at my monitor and out of the corner of my eyes. Right eye mainly.

It is bizarre.

So instead of making a thread about it, why don't you get some medicine?

Vertigo is kicking in too and I ate something bad for dinner and that is problematic on top of everything else.

Advil time, Gravol time, and I need a cup of tea.

I hate the rain.

I get bad migraines 2-3 times a year. I know its coming because I get blind spots directly before the pain hits. Its kind of like I just stared into the sun for 10 seconds then looked at something else. Pain lasts exactly 3 hours then its gone.

The medicine helps but not much.

I see a pattern, here. It started with the coffee pot mystery, and has progressed to all sorts of weirdness. You've been listening to the late night Art Bell program, "Coast to Coast" haven't you? What you're seeing is shadow people, the Grey's will be stopping in for a visit, next ....oh, and don't forget to look under your bed, before turning in, tonight.

Poore's rule #1 ...just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Either migraine or you are beginning to get some eye floaters.

HA! shows how much you know! Artie shows up, from time to time, although I must admit that George has taken over, since Art's fallen in love.

The old Night Hawk does a good job too.

So far as my age? Yep, guilty. :wflag:

I've been listning since day one ...great program. :)

He's new to Calgary. There is a condition, mainly people in Calgary, who get migraines that are triggered by weather. Some people can predict a 'Chinook' wind a couple days in advance because of their migraines. Odd, but true.

A major low pressure area is in Calgary right now.

Doesn't explain the coffee stains though . . . ;)

Go to a Retina Specialist ASAP. I had the same thing. A detatched Retina. Fixed it in the Dr's office with a laser. It stopped the problem. Don't wait, and don't do anything that would jar your head in any way. My 2cts.

Not bothering me today, I'm full of ginger tablets though.

Only slightly dizzy today, even with the rain.

Damn rain.

retina problem, hmm might have that looked at.

You described an "Opthalmic Migraine" to a tee......:help:

I had them a lot (several times a month) back in the 70's and found out they were due to eye strain in bright light......prescription sunglasses corrected my astigmatism and the frequent migraines!!:bows:

I suggest you stay away from the computer for a couple of weeks and report back to us then!!!:D

I can't even spin in a circle once without falling over with a dizzy spell.

I also live online or in front of my 100" theatre screen.

I have been turning the contrast and birhgtness way down.

Spend some time in the big room. The one with the really big orange-yellow ball.

I'm not new to Calgary, I just don't get migranes very often.

I have lived in England for 5 years, while going to College but have lived in Calgary or the Calgary area the rest of the time. Yes I was born in Calgary a long time ago.

Yes predicting Chinooks is a common thing, usually with bone pain, I have had elbow surgery a few times and I can tell you when it is about to rain or snow and lately whenever a Chinook is about to start.

No Chinooks lately though we have been getting rained on continually for the past 3 weeks. I also picked up a nasty flu that migrated into my ears and makes me dizzy "vertigo" every time it rains. I really really hope I get over this Damn cold soon.

It is like being continually car sick. Ironically driving seems to cure it, as do headphones. It is just walking around bothers me. I went through the mall on the weekend and just felt terrible.
