Carsponserships dot com? I started an application with them then didnt complete it because they wanted my cc info...now they are saying thru email that they have sponsors for my car and just need to complete my application....I was wanting to see if I could get a sponsor for a stereo system to show at car shows.....Just wondering if anyone has delt with them or knows anything about them.

I don't know anything about them but I'm sure they're gonna want to put their stickers all over your car

We have had customers try to get sponsership thru them with no success. The manufacters are cutting back like everyone else. If you are serious you need to put together a portfolio with pictures and itinary of where you will be showing and competing. A track record of winning also helps. Then find out who is in charge of sponserships with the companies of the stuff you are using and mail it out to them. It is not easy to get one and they expect a lot out of you. It is rare to get one and if you do it will be for equipment only. Not many see cash. I have received 2 from MTX and one from Pioneer for store demo cars. As a dealer for them I only received equipment from them. Good Luck and I hope this gives you some insight on this. Remember everyone else is also chasing it!

I have received sponsorships from Pioneer, Audio Control and Memphis during my many years. Usually the general overview is that I have a relationship with a decent volume shop owner/authorized dealer and am around enough to have met and come to know the rep. Between the two of them my sponsoships have been very 'loose' and unofficial and included deeply discounted (like below dealer cost) equipment, free accessories and needs (like wire, harnesses, etc), and usucally some kind of stated goal. If one is not deeply involved, you must do what John said above. If deeply involved and capable of quality, unusual, head-turning work and have the time and love for the shows, folks will help you out. In these tough economic times, though, it's difficult for anyone to let anything go.

Carsponsorships.com is a rip. Way more effort from you than value returned.

If you really want a badass stereo for as little as possible, I will gladly consult with you. John is good to us and has a great selection. Often an awesome stereo at a good price boils down to buying the right stuff the first time. Let me know.

IIRC, you've posted your work on here. Good stuff.

I built it and shipped it and it fit perfectly. Initially he had the amps on the back and it stuck out. He moved them and it fit correctly. Let me know if I can help.
