We have a new employee who has left a Ford dealership as a salesman. He swears up and down that the 2004 MM will have a supercharger as an option from the factory.
What is the truth?

Nope, but Ford Motor Sports will have Trilogy's SC in their catalog in October. Thats as close to factory as you'll get.

Am I right in thinking that if they did include a SC that it would be de-tuned to around 350 or 360 HP? It would of course make upgrades cheaper, but you would still have to install a chip, fuel pump, injectors, and other to get it to keep pace with the other aftermarket kits?

That was original plan, was if the marauder sales were good, they were looking to supercharger it to about 340-350hp with a low boost eaton.

Unfortunately, sales sucked and continue to.

Man it would be nice to see them stick with the line.

I think the cars biggest problem is people just don’t know it exists.

I have never had so many looks while driving around in my life. People seem to love it, and flock to it at every stop, more than once I have been stopped and asked questions. It is also appreciated by men and women alike and I have heard a couple of times now I have been wanting a new car and I bet my husband would change his mind if he saw this.

But I am also conflicted as to whether I would rather see it continue to create a larger market and therefore attract the attention of more after market suppliers, or have it discontinued and make my car more unique and/or valuable.

We have ours - let it become a collector's item and more valuable.

:D

I heartily agree - never have I been in a car in which so many people rush to get next to me at stoplights. Never have I been in a car that I can ignore the revs of most of the people who do it, too. (i.e. their car is not even worth the time and effort to race them)

Every day I drive it I am happier I own one. Without me saying a word it becomes the topic of conversation almost everywhere I go. I even have to keep my students quiet about it so we can get some rehearsal done in class!

Thanks,
-A

If FMC offers a super charger in their brochure then will the vehicle be under FMC warranty? I would think so. IMH.

No, it won't be covered. FRPP parts are just like any other aftermarket part, you's take your chances.

Yes, based on the 18,000 projection. A mistake of Ford to present it like that, rather than say something like 6,500, as for the MACH 1. Had they done that, sales would be considered a success.
