View Full Version : Atlanta to NY road trip June 27th - July 3rd

I will heading to NY to visit family with the MM. I will leave Atlanta 0 dark 30 Friday June 27th. I85 to I77 to I81

I hope to make it to the Penn boarder and spend the night around Carlisle. From here it is up I81 to I84 and to my Brother who is near the Beacon Bridge a bit north on the Taconic.

Monday morning June 30th off to LI to visit my other brother near Riverhead.

Wednesday morning on the road for home - I95 to I85 and straight shot to Atlanta. I will most likely spend Wednesday night after making it to I85.

So if you are along this route and see my DTR, wave or stop me and we'll do lunch or dinner.

You'll be passing right by me on I-95 South. Exit 160 Occoquan/Lake Ridge in Virginia (about 25 miles south of DC).

I'm in Rocky Point Long Island and work just down the road in Riverhead.

At one point I think I saw you post that these is a drive in on tuesday nights on LI. Is this true? Looking forward to meeting up with a few MM owners along the way.

Tuesday Night is Bald Hill off of exit 63 on the Expressway.
Thursday night is Wading River on rt. 25a just west of Riverhead - the next town over. This is the one I like to try and drop in on.

How far is this from I95 and I85 junction?
I am 109 miles North of the I-95/I-85 junction (Exit 51). I am at Exit 160 much closer to Washington, DC. Exit numbers start at the southern VA border with NC and are numbered in miles. So, I am 160 miles north of the VA/NC border or 109 miles north of Exit 51 for the I-95/I-85 split.
