Judge Tessier will be Obama's first nominee to the U.S. Supreme court.

I can't understand why she's not on the California's 9th.

But, you say, it's Canada ......they're taking care of that little detail, as we speak...:bandit:

Quebec also has a different system of law than the rest of us. It is not based on precedent, but on the facts, case by case. (Civil Law, vs Common Law)

That being said - the courts are not responsible for how my children will be raised. This new Bill in the Senate that restricts a parents ability to spank - well, it little Billy tries to burn down the tool shed, he's going to get a whupping to prevent him from burning down the house next time.

Senate and courts be damned.

I can't understand why a this Quebec teenager sued her Dad for grounding her for disobeying him. That is pretty much the whole point of grounding. He's trying to keep her safe, she disobeyed, she's grounded. Seems reasonable.
