Atleast it's Vista SP1, hear that fixed alot of early release bugs.

Good lookin' specs, and with the 42" plasma what an entertainment center!

BTW Win2000 was getting a bit old and they're killing support, so I upgraded my OS a few weeks ago. To
Linux. :D

Dell was running a special on this box for $499.00 shipped!

Doing side work now, and fighting Vista as long as I could, it made sense to buy this machine and become more familiar with the OS.

The quad core processor alone is near 1/2 the cost of the entire machine.

Add a video card and HDMI cable and still under $600.00.

In a couple weeks, I'll have a RF mouse and keyboard made by Gyration.

That was a good deal!

Yeah I hear ya about Vista. I may be installing one from scratch soon, I'm not worried but I can't walk people through menus on Vista like I can all other Windows OS's over the phone, lol. Guess to talk the talk we have to walk the walk. :)

The comfort in knowing I got a sweet deal on a nice system.

We recently got a Toshiba Satellite w/ Vista. Vista uses symbols you would find in a 5 year olds coloring book.

One of these days I need to rehab one of our stockpile of computers and put it out in the family room where the big tv is. :)
