How long do recalls last?

I recently bought a 1989 Ford F-150.... I have been reading alot about a recall with the Fuel tank switch valve and that it was recalled back in the day.

If my truck never had the recall performed is it still eligible some 19 years later?

I would presume recalls last forever, until fixed.

I got sub frame bushings recall on the '92 sho a couple years back.

Recalls do not expire, owner notification programs do :)

Tuesday I did a fuel rail recall on a 96 Eldorado with over 100K on it. I would think recalls have no experation as they provide a liability to the manufacturer
