I come from a Mopar backround and became a recent FoMoCo convert. I don't know enough about Fords so I need some help with a possible purchase.
I have a chance to pick up an adult driven 2003 Mustang GT coupe. It has 44k miles, 5 speed, leather and its Black/Black. I know the guy and the car has been reasonably well maintained and not beat.
He want out of the car to get something that uses less gas and doesn't need premium. I can buy it for $7,000 which seems like a deal. It would let me keep miles off the MM. Are there any negative aspects to this year Mustang or anything I should look for? Any constructive input would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick

Thats a great price for that car. I just sold my 01 gt 5 speed leather with 51k on it for 10500 out of my front yard!!!!! Btw, the mustang doesn't require premium--get it!!

Those are great machines, durable as heck, just like the 5.0 before it. Sounds like a good & fun deal!

Oh, and my $.02 again, my brothers girlfriend just traded in her 01 or 02 GT, auto, with 64K miles, they gave her almost $8000 for it ON TRADE!

dooo itttt.

Mustang's lost the use of their back seat with the end of the third generation in 1993. If you want anyone bigger than a kid in the back seat keep looking.

But if you are buying this to save your Marauder, do yourself a favour and get a second, higher mileaged Marauder.

it was an 02 auto black on gray leather GT. had 82k hard miles( averaged 16k per year of ownership). finally deal was 8k on trade and it had more paint chips than you would want to see.

but we walked away with an 04 pristine Mach1 for under 16k:banana:

amazing deal you got there. dont think twice about it. although you might notice the mustangs interior being of less quality than the marauders, you get used to it quick. the only thing i know that should be checked is the speakers.... bad stereos stink. other than that, mustangs are solid
