I'll come behind and pick you up if you are offering to test it for us!
I think most people switch to a synthetic instead of using one of the additives like Slick50 or such. I just went over to Mobil1 and I know it's working because the car feels "slippier". :)
Why dont you try it in YOUR car and let us know.

Snake oil.
Use a good quality oil like Mobile 1 full synthetic or Ford semi-synthetic and your Marauder will have all the additives it needs.

There is no reason in this day and age to ever run out of oil (unless you hit a curb and tear off your oil pan). If you check your oil regularly, there is zero chance of running out (or even running low). In the slim chance you DO run out of oil, dont trust an additive, trust a tow truck.
With or without the additive, your engine may still "run" without any oil, but my guess is that the damage caused would be extreme.

I ran some DuraLube years ago in my Merc and blew the engine two days later.
I had done a good compression test and full tune up a week before, so the additive was highly suspect in that case, fwiw...
I don't use them now in anything except for the odd gas additive to clean it out, and I don't even think they do much but make you feel better for adding them ;)
