I am getting one and I am still thinking about getting one new in 2 or 3 years. I might sell my 65 Chevy and get enough for a down payment or something. I'm thinking about the Camaro too because I like the interior more. We will see.

i like the challenger & camaro a bunch now, but if they let it go by the way of the mustang and let the design get stale fast, i'll be glad i didn't knee-jerk and buy one instantly.

Looks nice but I dont think I would fit in it very well being 6 ft 6. looks a wee bit tight.

Too heavy for a 2 door coupe it weighs almost as much as our cars.

My next car. Ill be trading the Montego in on an R/T Classic with a manual trans, either dark blue or white with the imitation 20" torq-thrust wheels just as soon as they start showing up in quantity at the dealer. Probably in about a year I bet. Re; interior room, I'm a "man of size" myself and had no problem driving a 300C and as this car has the same front seat floorplan it should ok.

at the very least, if i do get one, it'll be used so someone else can take the hit on resale.

What does an S/C mustang weigh? They aren't light cars either.

:beatnik: I don't know about that. I went to look at one on the weekend and she's bigger than our cars. If you can believe it, it's a beast.

When the time comes, it's nice to know there's SOMETHING else out there I can buy.

BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc all make wonderful cars, but they aren't for me. I've never really been a Dodge fan, either, but this new Challenger is the cat's ass.

I give it two more years and they'll be as abundant as the 'stang

I didn't realize this was a five seater. Family of 5 limits your fun status. Perhaps a low mileage used six spd. SRT8 will be in order in a couple years. In two years mine will be paid off and i can have both.

Mm, I'll wait for the G8 GXP to come out. The G8 already turns faster 1/4's than the Challenger does.

They've definitely got a significant weight advantage on us. The curb weight of the Challenger is 3637lbs. Ours is around 4250 4200? Thats over 600lbs. If every 100lbs adds a tenth to your ET, then they've defintely got an advantage...not to mention a 6.1L 425hp motor! Ive heard anywhere from 13.1 - 13.3 bone stock 1/4 times. I saw 2 of them at a car cruise yesterday...exterior styling is fantastic, interior looks like my Caliber. I think they're pretty cool. They'd be faster if their wheels weren't so big and heavy.

And should be buried in the litter box with everything else made by Chrysler.

I can only agree on the above on any of their cars after the late 70's. I had a '85 Daytona Turbo Z that looked cool, handled great, and it was built like *****.... always mechanical problems. Hopefully the Challenger will not have the same quality of the new Chryslers. Sometimes a step backwards would be better. As far as looks how can you not love it?

Chrysler only built for cars that I really liked.

The Viper hardtop.

The Prowler

K car limo

Lebaron Wagon Town and Country.

The Lebaron Wagon and the Executive Limousine were not the best made cars. I still like them but not the best made. In fact the Wagon was terrible.

The Viper does not come with an automatic transmission so I'm not interested. Looks fantastic though.

The prowler is everything i would want in a two seater, RWD.

I would still love to have one. And the little trailer just completes them.
