I looked around at what is the answer, for me, to the MPG question.
Now car prices have in the last few years skyrocketed.
In the past I thought about getting a Lambo kit car, but with prices and professional support etc... the prices approached 30K - 40K.
So I was looking online at cars last night and found some local and other Fiero's. Cheap. 1.5-10K Yeah some are over priced.
Then I thought I might be able to take one and make a Lambo kit car, the kit I like the Mirage S based on a stretched Fiero chassis. The engine would still work and with an auto tansmission I could have a stylish gas saver.
The price for a kit is around 10K plus donar car, plus time and space, tools etc...
Then thinking about it I was wondering if a Smart car could be a donar car or at least the Smart car Diesel engine with 6 speed manualmatic transmission. Or even the gas engine.
This would give a slow, High MPG, fancy looking, rwd mid-engine, grocery getter. Cost would be less than many high MPG new cars, It would be customised for me and when I want a practical faster people moving better car I would still have my Marauder.
