Every thumbs up I got driving my MM from Chicago to Michigan on 4th of July weekend I could have filled up my tank for free!!! I know its a late post, but very busy with work this past week. Had to tell everyone. Even got a thumbs up from a guy driving a brand new Challenger SRT8 which by the way is a bad ass car now that I seen it in person. To quiet for me though. Guy lined up a couple cars from me at a light and gave it a nice tap on the throttle, not really impressed with the sound, but the looks could kill. Hard to respect a car that, correct me if Im wrong, is also being offered with a V6. Anyways, Im on my 2nd MM and if all goes well for me, she should be paid off soon! Sell her, find another with less turns on the odom and start all over!!!!! Enjoy Everyone.

That must have been a good 70 or so thumbs ups!! Great to hear. I love when people compliment my car when I'm out and about. Those are the people who really know their stuff and can appreciate nice cars and good taste, even if they are driving a POS when they compliment. Here's to MM's,

I only had two people ask me about the DTR while I was on vacation. It must be the most stealth color. I've even had people in the past tell me it was not a Marauder. Now, the little yellow bomber I just bought for a daily driver, every place I go I'm answering questions. Should have gotten the blue one.

I've had all out conversations with people in the city when the highways are at a stand still. Of course mine being dirty is a rareity. More like glissening. More clean=more compliments! It is a great feeling to have and congrats to you.

I live up here in Maine. Too many Grand Marquis' up here. People think its just another clean Grand Marquis. No thumbs up 4 me. :( Wonder what people think after I blow by them on I95 though. :). I always get compliments and thumbs up on my 1973 Plymouth Scamp!

My bro in law said when I bought mine "why did you buy that." Now this is the typical douche Lexus ES 350 owner (even though I love the guy)... I told him to give me a dollar every time someone (a complete stranger) compliments my car and I will give him a dollar every time a complete stranger compliments him..

By now, he owes me about 300 bucks. Lets face it, even at 4 years old and a few scratches here and there, these cars draw more attention than a Lexus or most other cars for that matter. Congrads on the new paint, it looks great!! I usually frown upon repaints (meaning that if it can be avoided) but lets face it, these cars have the ****tiest paint I've ever seen and anything thats a good repaint is better than the garbage Ford put on these cars..

You are 17 miles from me. Let me know when you are coming this way again and we can meet up. I live in South Haven and boat out of Saugatuk. Be more than happy to tour you around! :D

johnkuhn,

Sounds great! Give me something different to do there. I think my next shot at going up there is Labor Day. I'll give you a heads up before then. Thanks!

I had an 8 year old boy say, "I like your car...its a Mercury Marauder right?" I replied YES...tickled!:D Most adults dont even know what kind of car it is. My brother STILL calls it a Magruder!:mad2:
