I was watching the movie Repo Man last night and I was thinking... when my truck was stolen, could I have called a Repo business to track it down? At first I thought it was just something banks could issue (a repo) but since the company in the movie was called Helping Hand, could a repo company work for people besides banks? I'm sure they do, but I'm not sure if they would work for personal people. Maybe insurance companies too, but what about angry people who want their stolen cars/trucks back? Thoughts?

Thoughts? I THOUGHT you were going to let this go when you got the truck back.

SO confused here You are asking us if a repo company will look for a stolen vehicle?
So what answer did you get when you picked up the phone and called such a company?

I will remember that if there is a next time.

The truck was found months ago, but it was gone for almost 2 months exactly.

Repo companies like to know where it is. You did not know this.

Also repo companies like to be paid.

Repo companies use the information given to the banks when the car was bought. Addresses, work info, co-signers. They have alot of info to start an investigation with. You have none when a car is stolen. Outside of driving around in the hood looking, they wouldn't find it.
