Hey John,
I don't know too much about car audio and could really use you help here. I drive a 2005 Volvo station wagon, and recently bought a 12 inch Alpine subwoofer. Link: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=520&i=500SWE1243&search=alpine+e&tp=111
I have the wiring and am in the process of buying a used amp from a good friend of mine.
Now back to my question, what kind of box would be best for my car? Should I go for a sealed box or a ported box? Also do you sell boxes? Any help you can give me would be just great.
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Wagon = ported facing backwards behind the seat.
As Rich says use a ported box. I would but I would but one near home so I did not have to pay shipping as they are heavy!

John, Thank you for your honesty on shipping... Any ideas on places to buy a nice ported box for a fair price? I also am looking for a Capacitor but have no clue what kind I need?
I can help you with the capaciter. 35.00 for a one farad plus shipping. Go to the local stereo shops with the woofer specs and tell them you want a ported box for your subs. Should cost around a 100.00 t0 130.00.

Thanks John. Is a 1 farad what I need, or do you need my amps specs to decide?
What are the amps? Its not often that you need more than 1 farad.

Rule of thumb = 1 farad per 1000W.
