Great idea but I could buy a 4 post lift with pump and motor for that much. I may make my own only add a motor to each side and electronicaly synchronize the two sides to eliminate the cross members.

Those cross members add alot of stability, I wouldn't want to get under a car on that without it.

Crossmembers are for sissy men. I've been under a car supported by 4 milk crates and this is way safer than that!

Not sissy men, just older :geezer:smarter men ;)

In my younger days I would go under a car with jacks, spare tires, wood, whatever was around, but now not a chance.

I live in earthquake country. After I raise the car, I give it a good shake, before I crawl under.

Agreed! You have to empty your trunk and glovebox to be safe!:D
