up to 600 amps at 48 Volts = 28,800watts
assume 100% efficiency and 746w/hp then it adds 38.6hp
Real world efficiency of about 60% would yield 23hp.
Not a huge improvement but it would be noticable.

$4000 plus install time of 3 to 4 hours, it would be a part that adds power but pays for itself in the long run.
