This is not something you see everyday. I saw this Friday morning westbound on the Long Island Expressway in Suffolk county:

It looked nicely done, no wavey bondo

Someone did an enormous amount of body work on that CV sedan. The labor had to be hundreds of hours. But, it does look nice.

Ford never knows the potential of their own products!
I would have bought the wagon instead of the Mountaineer - if they would have made it!!

I remember back in the mid-90's at Mark Martin's museum there was an Impala SS Wagon parked in the lot next to a Talledega Torino - apparantly a prototype according to one of the reps inside.

Larryo340,

I have a couple of pictures of that car from a few years ago (on my computer at home). It was made from a Crown Vic and Sable or Taurus Wagon. I thought it looked pretty good and would have sold if Ford had built it.

I found the pictures! Not much but they are what they are.

Cruising along at 75 MPH it looked pretty good. Very smooth blending of the wagon roof and tailgate. I'm curious what the interior looked like.

Larry - thats a sensational catch! Whoever built that needs to send it to Ford PRONTO!!!!

Reminds me of the good ol' days of the country squire
