Don't solar panels cost more to purchase than they will give back in power? At least that used to be the case. Sounds good on paper but.........

I think it takes years to get back your investment, but after that it would be nice to have little or no power bill. I think that the power companies do give some money towards solar here on Long Island.

Governments also give you eco credit, some more than others.

A small solar panel array for home residential use is in the $3000 range, plus a $7000 storage system that is warranted for 10 years.

The idea that you reduce your power cost is also linked with not being without power when the power goes out and to be eco friendly.

Not the best solution for existing houses, but if you need to replace your tiles/shingles, or are building new it becomes more attractive.

Plus if mass produced, everything gets cheaper.

Don't forget that when your at work not using any power your meter runs backwards! That's got to be worth something.
