Specifically in regards to removing and replacing our factory sub/amp combo with something along the lines of an INFINITY BASS LOGIC.

I am asking of those whom have done so, will you tell me what wires within the existing harness do what?

I was hoping to merely use a new 12v feed, but use all of the existing feeds such as the switched 12v feed and the left and right low level audio feeds.

It would be really quick and easy to just use the existing wiring, but I am not sure what wires do what, and where to plug them into the I- Bass logic amp/sub.

I have the Infinity Bass Logic and love it. I had it installed at HiFi Buys (Tweeter).

Remove the OEM sub and this thing filts like a glove in that hole. Need to be careful not to puncture the gas tank when securing it. Not sure how they secured it, but it is in like a rock and sounds great.

Are you refering to the Basslink? I have one of those in my other car and love it. Which do you have the original or the Basslink II?

I haven't taken it apart yet but doesn't the rear sub fire directly through the rear package tray? So the aftermarket one above fires into the trunk, and then the trunk is just open to the interior through the hole where the stock sub used to go?

You don't hear low bass frequencies, you feel them. That's why in a home theater the sub can go pretty much anywhere and it will "sound" the same. So the same applies with that Infinity Bass Logic sub placed below the oem subwoofer hole.
I'm sure you stereo guys out there can explain it better.

Human hearing covers down to 20 hz, which most subwoofers don't even reach. Any consumer grade sub is going to be well within the audible spectrum. So you do hear bass. You feel it, but you definitely hear it. You can move a sub around because low frequencies are less directional.

You say "potado" I say "potato"

Everyone is different, I like the sub to stay below 40hz and perfer 12" subs
