Since I now have a nice job with a nice salary I've been looking to upgrade my ride. Now, as opposed to putting a ***** ton of cosmetic work into the Vic, I have a hit on a relatively high-milage Marauder (it's blue :D). Now, milage doesn't scare me because my former police car has so far survived to 150k miles with nothing more than a new alternator.

God I want this car! My issue is I'm still trying to get my head out of the water financially with just getting out of college and all. Man, I hope I can work something out!

...I can park next to my co-workers in their Bimmers and not feel so embarassed, lol (don't get me wrong, I'm not wanting a Rauder for the "status". I just love the car).

Too bad you're on the east coast. There's a black one for sale out here by where I work. I think the miles are high, though (100k plus). Haven't seen the price yet.

Many moons ago I took an autobody class at the local community college. This is an option when you are low on cash and it can get you some free student labor. How much would it cost to paint one of these boats anyway? I am thinking about 3k.

The big thing is timing. I'm not going to start prep until I have the money in-hand to take the car right to the paint booth. I'm thinking stock up on sand paper and bondo in the mean time.
