Listen to Ctrlraven's exhaust, his is without a doubt one of the most bad *** (and probably one of the loudest) exhausts on a MM.

I have a full full 3" SS (stainless Steel worx) exhaust system...That includes their 3" headers, 4" cats, 3" muffler's and 3" Marauder like tips...
Although I may go with the "Megs" 4" delete tips eventually... but we'll see...
I will say though... this is a throaty powerful ground shaking exhaust....
The sound from all that stainless steel piping is....wow....

I have the simple and cheap setup lol. Everything is stock expect for 2nd set of cats were removed, Flowermaster Super 40 series (Not Delta 40s) and Meg's 3.5" res-delete tips.
With Flowmaster mufflers they do have a break in period so if you do get them, give them a some time and you'll notice one day they are just slightly louder.
Mine is def. not the loudest but for what it is it gets the job done until I can get a full custom exhaust setup.

Here is my car from a roll minutes after it rolled out of the garage at Grand Muffler last November.
http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r310/TAFGrand/TAFGrand2/TAFGrand3/?action=view¤t=MVI_4278.flv
The set up is Kooks long tubes into 2.5 stainless into Magnaflow 14". It will definately get people to jump if they happen to be on the sidewalk! Watch the video closely....

I have to admit that I think I probably have the loudest Marauder in existence, without cut-outs of course. I don't have any videos, but my fellow CAM members can attest to that...

If you're looking at just doing mufflers, you should consider the type of muffler, as that will effect the pitch and loudness. I have straight-through style Borla ProXS, long tube headers, and custom 2.5" stainless midpipes with an H crossover; they are loud. There are many factors to getting the right sound for you. If you just want loud, delete the cats and mufflers and add headers. Otherwise, just for fun, get cutouts (talk to Wes--wchain).
Sound clips are here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/misc.php?do=downloadfile&i=11638) (warm up) and here (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/misc.php?do=downloadfile&i=12298) (1/4 mile).

Should of heard my car when I had side pipes lol. They only lasted 3 weeks due to giving me a drone headache everytime I drove it.
Not when I had side pipes but this is stock exhaust piping with flowmaster super 40's and 3.5" res-delete tips.

I almost pee'd when Paul T Casey revved his car up for us...nice and quite, little throaty at idle...when he pushed the go peddle, it was like unleashing a brown river...in...well...nevermind. But his car is rediculous and sounds good.
Also, Mike's Kenny Brown marauder is rediculously loud. Sitting 7 cars behind him i can still here it.

Well the plans I have for mine are factory headers, cut off all cats, replace oem mufflers with Flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers and replace the oem tips with 4 inch slant tips( no resonator).
I had that exact setupr of my 96 cobra and lemme tell ya, Loudest most bad ass setup Ive ever heard!!! Anybody heard of the flowmaster 1 Chambers?

I'm not sure if it's one of the loudest, but you can just cut out your stock mufflers (very cheap), and if you want, add some delete tips. Trust me, or ask my neighbors.

Had a chance to video three MM's last weekend. Taemian, freakstatus and mine. Dyno info for all will be posted on Taemian's SW exhaust thread in a couple of days. As far as sound and noise level, the SW headers, hi-flow cats and full exhaust is quite loud. A little too loud for quiet little subdivisions on snob hill. Have to move or change exhaust!

2525. No video but sound clip. Stock mani's stock cats, 2.5 pipe cat to muffs, res delete tips. Install hesitated to put them on and tried to talk me out of them saying they were to loud. I figured with the four cats should be just right. He took it for a test drive and oh what a sound.

It's the headers..... they give you the wop-wop-wop-wop-wop of individual pulses from the cylinders.....
The the exhaust behind it makes it sweeter....

Best thing about them, is you know what you are getting sound wise. Like FLowmasters no packing to wear out over time like the Magna's and straight thru design. One caveat, they will quiet a wee bit depending on how rich your mixture.

Some of the O.G. members may be able to testify:
I ran Kooks LT's, off-road x-pipe, SLP LoudMouth glasspacks, and open tips. This was before SLP sold their mufflers as LM1's and LM2's... they were just tiny "shotgun resonators" at the time.
The car was LOUD. Ridiculously loud. Literally could be heard for miles when under WOT and the drone at part throttle was terrible. But everyone that heard it loved it. People would stop me on the street to ask what combo I was running.
I ended up driving it like that for about 5 months. Then swapped out to Flowmaster "Original" 40's to QUIET things down. Funny to describe Flows as quiet...
