are both very interesting.....the one that Marauderer provided also has some very up-to-date listings.......I found the following in that list to be most interesting:

0-60 MPH times

94 McLaren F1 2.60 sec
98 Mercedes CLK-GTR 2.70 sec(???)
66 AC Cobra 427 3.50sec
96 Ferrari F50 3.60sec
02 Porsche 911 GT2 3.70sec
91 Ferrari F40 3.70sec
95 Lamborghini
Diablo SE 5.7 3.75sec
03 Dodge Viper SRT-10 3.94sec
02 Corvette ZO6 4.20sec

Man if I had money, I'd be dangerous!!!! (maybe that's why I don't have much:rolleyes: ).........

Billy those are some crazy times. The new 2005 m5 is going to have a v10 NA... supposedly it is going to have a 0-60 of 3.9. Unbelievable.

that's coincidental(perhaps) cuz that's about the same 0-60 time as the Viper that also has a V10 motor. Of the few cars that have big displacement engines, I don't know of any that are S/C'd. In fact I can't think of any cars that have engines of 400 CI or better that are S/C'd. I guess w/that much displacement, many engines will produce enough torque for street use(uh, if there's such a thing as having enough torque). For instance, the new Ford GT40 is S/C'd but you'll notice that it also only has a displacement of 330 cubes. I really wish there were more cars that are offered w/bigger displacement engines, and not just ones that cost 60K and more........

Wasn't there some British luxo boat that was supercharged at over 400 cu.in? Like, maybe Bentley? I know they have some twin-turbo models over 400 cu.in and I'd check their web site for more info but there's a lot of Shockwave Flash on there, and I'm in a hotel room on dial-up and it's slow as heck.

you have my curiosity..........but wasn't that a long time ago that they made those cars? I was refering to late model cars, but I still am curious about that.......

I spotted the general info on the Bentley web site about an hour ago, but didn't have the bandwidth to sit there and watch my poor little PII-266 laptop suffer while trying to render the site.

Don't laugh at my laptop... it's been with me through all my best business trips, and this weekend's been no exception from the looks of it. 5 years and counting.... and it looks like I can still run circles around some of the younger engineers with fastier fancier hardware. ;)

I fing it amusing that my modded ZRX1000 Kawasaki at less than $8,000 smokes a McLaren F1 in 0-60 and the quarter!

you're riding down mainstreet w/your lady on the back and it starts to down pour. Then you see a guy go buy you w/a nice car and his lady in the passenger seat looks very content;) (pros and cons Dude).......but hey, that must be a fun bike to ride anyway......

Rob -

I can probably bungee jump off a tall building and go 0-60 faster than that for free . . ..

But that's apples and oranges, my man. Just like comparing bikes to cars. :P
