I had a few people push my 65 Chevy backwards into the garage and the right front of the bumper clipped the side. The bumper didn't come off, but bolts on the right side are pretty much of and whatever the bolts were attached to came off too... I'm assuming what steal is welded to the frame. The bumper doesn't look damaged at all, but it's hanging foward to the right. Any suggestions as to how to fix this? I don't care how bad it is, I just want the bumper back where it should be as suppose to sticking out.

Looks like I will get help on the wiring and a junkyard engine in a few weeks! :D I really want this truck not looking like a POS.

That piece of crap will never look like a pos Dom. She'll be as good as new soon enough. Hows the body?

The body is fine, you'll see it soon. :D

Any advice on how to put the bumper back in it's correct position?

Zip ties :D

Seriously, if the mount ripped off the frame, it has to be welded back on. If its bolted on, maybe it stripped the threads and popped the bolts out?

Pull it back out of the garage and smack the opposite wall!! I've used trees and comealongs on my old trucks. Actually works good.

If you did damage to the bumper of a 65 Chevy by pushing it, chances are there is a LOT OF ROT and may not be worth fixing at all.

..just keepin it real!

Zack the bumper clipped the garage door way, the bumper itself is fine.

Zack the bumper clipped the garage door way, the bumper itself is fine. The bumper should have tore off the wooden door way, not the other way around.

The reinforcement boxes on those bumpers are notorius for rotting out. Normally the outside bumper bolts to the reinforcement box then the reinforcement box bolts to the pistons/shocks? that absorbs the impact when you hit or are hit. If you hit the side of garage door and the bumper almost fell off then as Zack said.......you got some major rust issues on the reinforcement box/back of the bumper and you might end up changing alot of parts..

No impact absorbers on 65 Pickups. They just have a full frame. It is possible that the frame is rotted out. Fixed a few over the years for that problem.

Now this is just a thought.....

Take it to a body shop.

I don't know how to post them. Photobucket looks like a pain. I can always email someone the pics and they could post them I guess.

I'm sure that there is a K5/Blazer website that would LOVE to hear all about this rusted, dented, stolen, recovered POS.

Then we can read more posts about important things...like MARAUDERS!

Mine is a step side and is more complete than that one.

It's not a POS nor is my other Chevy. Now I really need someone to post my pictures to prove you all wrong! :)

If your STEEL truck, hit a WOODEN door frame, and the truck lost, yes.... you have a POS!
