All of our FM stations end in odd numbers, 101.1, 95.5 mhz. If I got the question right, you are asking if the radio can be changed to accomodate even numbers. I dont think so, as these cars were destined for the US and Canada only I believe.

You should be able to put a Blaupunkt or other radio in the car easily that accomodates the even frequency spacing of Germany and Europe. Maybe you can call Alpine direct and see if there is a matrix of resistors or diodes in the radio that can me manipulated to make the radio to even numbers. I know in the ham radio community, this is how its done to adjust ham radio bandplans for other countries.

i like to have the original one, because to control the remote control and the changer.
but, my favored station is 103.6 and only at this station, the radio reception works

Unfortunately, since the Marauder was never intended to be sold in the EU, there probably isn't a direct plug-in head unit that will keep the steering wheel controls active that also has the needed channel plan.

johnkuhn, do you know who actually made the head unit for Ford? The popular opinion is that it is an Alpine unit, but I don't think that's ever been confirmed.

AM radio is also different We have 10khz spacing and if I remember right theirs is 9khz. When I was over there the radios sold in the Base Exchange would change via internal switches for both US and European. I had a Sansui system I brought back that I had to change. I suppose there might be an export version of the radio that is either set up or adjustable. Someone on one of the bases might be of help if they have a HiFi hobby shop. There was one in Frankfurt and Weisbaden when I was there and a big one in Rhine Main (sp). Rick
