Thought I'd share with friends and "family"

I asked my G/F Trish to marry me last night and she said yes!! :woohoo: We went to Navy Pier (downtown Chicago) and had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp co. and then we walked around till the fireworks started at 9:30 pm. Once the fireworks started, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. At first she was speechless (doesn't happen very often...LOL) and then she said yes!! :cloud9:

Cool, congrats Mike...I'm pretty sure you both made fireworks of your own later that night. I got on my knee and asked my wife in a boxing ring, just in case if she decided to say NO! Good thing for her she said yes!

Diz Freeman, a great frend and mentor, a WW II Marine vet who fought all through the Pacific theatre, was going to be my best man. He had a massive heart attack and died two days before our wedding, leaving a wife and two young children. He told me, "Mike, don't ever curse your wife, and never hit her".
