I am pulling out the engine on the 65 Chevy and I cannot get it out! I have been working all day to get this done and no one is picking up their phones! :mad2: Zack is good for it, but I think he's had enough of me. Here is what I have done:
1. Disconnected the motor mounts
2. All hoses/lines
3. Driveshaft has been disconnected
4. Transmission has been disconnected from the 2 bolts that held it near the driveshaft.
5. Hood taken off for clearance.
6. Exhaust manufolds taken off
Now there is one thing that I cannot seem to get that I think is the answer. There is one bolt that is holding the transmission right by the driveshaft. This looks like it is connected to some sort of rubber that is between the frame and the transmission, I keep turning the bolt and it keeps spinning, but not getting loose. I cannot grab the other side of the bolt because it is surrounded by rubber. Could this be it? If so how do I loosen it? Do I have to destroy the rubber?
