3. Wheels are not chrome but clear coated aluminum....may need to have repaired if corroded badly??:confused:

Good Luck!!

1.5"

8.0" -> 9.5"

9.5" is the minimum width recommended by Nitto to run the P295 555s & P305 555Rs

Depending on your particular Marauder. the 305s will either clear the shocks by a little or rub just a little on the shocks....it is a close fit!

There was a thread in here a few weeks ago that told about a shop in Ill. (I think), that re-cuts the road rash out of our wheels, and re-chromes them for $250 @ in one day, I'm sending mine in this winter to have them repaired, and black chromed.

His wheels were already widened when he bought the car, I think DR sells them for $600 when he has them, but I don't know if they're factory wheels widened or knock off wheels

Weldcraft has done most if not all of the old guard's widening and wheel repairs. You can reinvent the wheel (pun intended) if you insist, but why bother?

My question is: How does Weldcraft know what the specs should be? You can't just say "widen the rims one inch, please." What are the specs for offset/backspacing etc? I have one damaged rim and one good one that I'm thinking of widening, but without any numbers, they won't be able to do anything.

You don't really have a choice with the OEM Marauder rims*...they must be cut and widened on the inside of the mounting surface.
Weldcraft does the 1.5" widening as a standard because a 9.5" rim is needed for the P295 radials.

*Because of the large +50mm offset of the OEM rims.

I had WeldCraft Wheels do the Saleen wheels on my 98. Went from 10 to 11.5"

it cost me $225 per wheel. IIRC thats the standard charge for 18" rims from 1-3" extra width...

after shipping back to me it totaled 511.xx

I am happy overall with the work, but they did put one scrap in the powdercoat on the outer edge of the lip on one rim, but you wont notice it once the tire is on it. 335/30 PS2 FTW!!

Also, Dave why do you want widened rims? It will just add extra weight and I don't think you're having traction problems are you.
