They are rigged, They pack the toys in so hard that the claw can never pull them out and I noticed that the claw will only get a firm grip once and a while, usually it cant even lift the lightest of objects no matter how you grab it.

It also doesnt put a tight grasp around it until it starts to lift, i know this because sometimes you catch a toy right at the last second and it picks it up by a few threads.

Its easier to just rock the machine til something slides down the shoot :D
