The site for SSHS8 is now open for registration. It is located at http://www.sshs8.comWe are anticipating some stiff competition from both the Chevy (as they will be trying to avenge their loss last year in the Big Dog) and the MOPAR group this year which should spice it up. I know there is a lot of interest from the HEMI guys, have seen what they are doing and it is impressive. We have some early registrations including entries from the Lincoln group. Mark the date: Saturday, November 8th. The Atlanta Marauder group and GASSIT have collaborated on this event this year and have worked hard to continue to keep it the premier event for 4,000 American cars. We need your continued support to keep this event going. There will also be a car show held as a separate event on the premises. We anticipate a good turnout and some fast cars but with the brackets, everyone will have a chance. Brian (Fordnut) is putting together the t-shirt package and that will be available for pre-orders shortly. The site will continue to change as we add updates so check in often. Looking forward to seeing everyone in November!!!

Good to GO!!!
Great Job on the web site and everything else fellows.

One concern: PLEASE try and have Friday, November 7 as a scheduled Friday Test n' Tune. The Friday before the Shoot-Out is normally Atlanta Dragway's last open day of the year. It seems that this year the last Friday Test n' Tune is October 31 and not November 7.

Thanks again for the good work.

Chevy guy checking in. It will be great to see my Marauder friends again. This will be my 7th SSHS event - they simply rock! (and get better each year) I want to thank the Marauder community for picking up the SSHS torch and carrying it forward. This event to just too cool to let it die. See you all on 11/8!

Terry

PS - Any chance we can get a list of registered attendees on the SSHS8 website???

Glenn - Shoot, your car is almost 1/2 second quicker than mine. :D I'd love to run you anyway though. I'm just not interested in that TNT mess they had on friday night last year - 3-4 hours for 2 passes.

Nah, I haven't had the juice hooked up since before this motor went in 2 years ago. Maybe I'll get motivated to do it this year, but history would suggest otherwise. ;)

Wish my son-in-law was able to make it. Made it a couple of years but cannot this year due to family matters in New York. His 94 MK VIII Procharger car with my prior Marauder Motor ran 11.9 et. Also won NMRA Nationals 12 second True Street Class You two would have been a good match up.

Other than that, I will be there and I am not bowing:lol:

We met the last two years I believe. Great Guy, and awesome Mark he has. But... I am done with 12's. I stepped it up a notch for this year, and should be running in the 11 second class this year with the new forged stroker motor and 16 psi of boost. I need to keep it at 11.5 though, since there are no plans for a roll bar ever going in The Mark :)

You can read about my motor build in the August and October issues of Super Rod Magazine. Here is a link:

Cool! Will check it out. And yes, Justin does remember you. I hear you now on the roll bar, that is what I said. Mine is going in next week. Tired of getting booted off the track. The guy I am using does and incredible job matching it to the interior. You will have to check it out.
