Hello, People

I use craigslist to help purchase a Car. The list was for an Audi A4 1.8T 2003 model. The person I met with on East 34th street and Avenue H in Brooklyn near Flatbush, asked for fast cash on his post. I was very cautious.

The Black person pretending he's on the phone so he won't need to speak to me and leads me to a lower level basement area where his friend tried to ambush me with a guy which was pointing to my head. I was able to run out before they were able to react.

I was very cautious about the situation and noticed things weren't adding up and was able to create a safe passage between me and the gunman and his partner. Thereafter the police arrived and took the report etc... They said this happened many times before and I was the lucky one... Others were robbed, beaten, etc...

It's partially my fault for not asking him to bring the car around and following him... But it was obviously a set up. I think they will be prepared next time.

BEWARE OF GOOD DEALS AND STRANGE SURROUNDINGS. ASK THEM TO PULL THE CAR AROUND.

FYI: THIS HAPPENED AT 8:00PM THERE WAS STILL A BIT OF SUNLIGHT. They were rather sloppy and most likely will try again next time.

good luck on Craigslist. Be very careful. Ask to take a picture of them prior to entering any suspicious buildings.

I too have had good luck with Craigslist. I got my rear spoiler installed for 35 bucks . sold my furniture, and got laid plenty, but that is crazy.

A very different experience as compared to ebay. I usually check the "FREE" section, and have had no problems as of yet.

For a guy to go into a bad neighborhood at night is just STUPID , and to be alone with alot of cash :shake:

Something like this happened to my youngest cousin. He and a friend were selling their car and everything went smooth. Guy gave them cash and drove away. Then they were held at gunpoint and my cousin was shot. Now he no longer can do anything for himself. The bullet missed his lung but not his spine. He is only 22. The police caught all the a-holes. There just happened to be a security camera pointing right at the scene. That still wont help him walk or do anything for himself but some justice had been served. Just be aware of your surroundings and don't trust anyone!
