I manage a store for Autozone, and while I've been in the business off and on for decades, I've ony been a store manager just over one year.
so in my first year, I win the President's Club award. awarded to the top 5% of store managers in the chain (4000+ stores = 200 managers) I go to memphis the week after Marauderville for a week of meetings and seminars ect.

I was stunned and shocked, didnt see it coming at all.

I'm not one to shout, but I had to tell people of substance that can appreciate it.

thanks for letting me vent.

^^ +1

thats the prob with most companies, they always tell you when you **** up, but never let you know youre doing a good job.
It always seems like the lazy ass people get away with everything but those of us that bust ass get rode the hardest, makes no sense.

anyways, not to highjack, good job man... we need a mgr like you at out local AZ, ours sucks and i always end up at Oreilly's

having a Marauder parked out front every day drives up sales

(and scares off riff raff...)

sorry to hear that about your local store, you might go in one day and tell him tactfully what your concerns are, and what Oreillys is doing better. most people will take constructive criticism to heart. the company has lots of ways to help improve the local store, after all customer service is our primary focus as a company. its not rocket science, but some people just don't get it (pick your industry, its everywhere) it could be worse, the oreilly's could suck really bad as well, then you'd be really screwed.

many local oreilly's here suck, its great for business

Its makes it easier to get up in the morning when someone takes note that your doing a good job. Keep up the good work

You should come to Boston and clean up the one here. I usually end up at the pepboys, which sucks a little bit less
