Has anyone been watching this latest HBO mini-series? I started watching a couple weeks ago (go go "on Demand") and instantly fell into it because it presented the military I knew with character personalities that were spot on with guys I served and fought with. The overall story is supposed to be the actual accounts of the Rolling Stones reporter embedded with a Marine Force Recon unit, he wrote a book about it.

Excellent series... been watching from the beginning. Can't speak to its authenticity, but it has the ring of truth, though I was afraid it might be blatantly political. A little of that is there but not too much.
Highly recommended!!

I have been watching it and really like it. Its funny, original and current with what happened over there. The last episode "burning dog" was the most overtly political imo but still not by much. Most of the series stays away from politics. SCREWBY!

If you guys like this series, you'll like "Over There" as well. It was a good series with not much political crap in it.
