Congratulations to our own FREAKSTATUS on becoming a brand new dad! He texted me this morning to say it was only a matter of time, and I got the news 4 hours later that his wonderful wife delivered a healthy baby girl!:banana: :beer:

I met Derek through this board, and my wife and I have become good friends with him and his wife since then. There are so many similarities in our lives that it seemed we were just missing running into each other before we got on this board.

Derek, I hope I'm not upstaging you by making this thread, but I just wanted to let everyone know!

Update: Derek's little girl is still in the hospital, but "out of the woods" it seems.

I guess she wanted to make sure she was at least as "tanned" as her dad, so she's getting lots of UV treatments for the jaundice.:D

Hopefully she'll be able to go home by the weekend, and let Mom and Dad start to find a new routine!;)
