Here is a letter from one of our Members I did not post his name but will if he says its ok.
Dennis, Thanks for your time Saturday. As we discussed I have been driving a 6/02 Marauder in the West Virginia mountains and have noticed a lot of acceleration hesitations at WOT especially over 4000 rpm. I cleaned the air cleaner and gassed up. The problem seemed to go away. Since the problem was probably fuel or air related I thought I got lucky. However, as time went on the hesitations got worse again.. So the next time I filled up I cleaned the air cleaner (with air pressure again). Even though it wasn't very dirty the problem was resolved. But with 1/2 tank of gas and 3 people in the car and an uphill WOT entry to the highway, the hesitations were back again. The next day I saw your story on MercuryMarauder.net about the fuel cell problem in Marauders, and what you were working on to solve the problem. Since I have a Reinhart chip, plugs and underdrive pulleys; and was very pleased with the results, I called you again. As you said you do not yet have the gas tank fuel !
pump and alterations completed, and since I am not ready for your duel pump assembly for supercharged engines I ran one more test you asked for to prove the problem. I filled the fuel tank up, and with the same three people and an uphill entry to the highway at WOT there was no hesitations. As soon as you get the single pump solution please let me know, I will use it. Thank you for your advice.
