Auction results!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my 2004 MM with 73k miles on it went through the auction this am!! It brought $12,200!!!!! I couldn't believe it! My used car manager called me this eve and gave me the good news! Plus, the truck driver damaged the rear bumper during transport:mad2:. It may have brought me more than that. It went through the Bel-Air Auto Auction in Bel-Air MD.


Looks like I did the right thing after all!!:P

It was a dealer auction where only dealers can purchase the car. So a dealer was the "chump" that bought it. They will hopefully do the work it requires before they sell it. Meanwhile, I'm pleased with the outcome!

I am firm believer in the US vs Them notion of economics and the struggle that exists between the medium of exchanges.

Profit exists because people view each other as "them" your mother did not charge you profit if she made you a sandwhich. You dont charge your friend for an installation of a part. Marauder owners that are close like SSM raised tons of cash for one of their members because of a blown motor.

When you view people as "us" you charge cost - cost can be nothing like in the case of the blown motor. They gave the money willingly not asking for anything in return because to them it cost nothing to give to that person.

Once greed takes over and coupled with the lack of understanding, trust, and the desire to build it you get Profit.

Just my .02 cents - which I give freely to you all!

Thank you!! I would have done the repairs and kept the darn thing if the 9k mile one didn't come along! I had planned to keep it forever! I got lucky and aquired a newer one. I think everyone else is just jealous of my low mile Marauder.:P
