The Corvette ZR1 (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/13/autoblog-drives-the-2009-corvette-zr1-but-we-cant-talk-about/) has some sick, nasty, evil power. Hitting the pedal will propel you to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, and in the hands of a skilled professional, this blue-collar supercar can lap the 'Ring in 7:26:4. There is no question that 638 horsepower and a 3,300-lb curb weight is good for getting you somewhere in a big fat hurry, but in the right hands it can also get you nowhere fast. One particular Development Engineer is the General's number one burnout artist, and we captured video of him creating two 300-foot works of art. We love the rubber-ripping smoke storm and sound of the LS9 at full tilt, but we're not so sure this unsuspecting set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2s shares our excitement.

I love that car and I'm hoping it can give some of the euro cars a good run now...

I saw a video on top gear or some UK show and it put the Vette Z06 - not this one, against a Porsche GT3.

It was not pretty - those Euro cars are on roids...they have such legs they walk us everytime!

The Porsche GT3 is one hot Euro car. A Porsche would be the only Euro car I'd want besides the Brabus AMG S55 762hp/1000tq :drools:

638hp, though?!? With my wieght (and the MMs) I guess I'll have to make around 900hp to make it a race... Now, lets see - 03-04 iron block, bigger 'charger, tubs with really really wide tires.... Ah, heck - that's getting too expensive. I'll just have to hope that no one around here can afford one!

I too would like to see the vid but please, do not compare the GT3 (the best that Porshe makes and better than the more expansive GT2) against a Z06.

It should be compared to this vet. Closer to the price of the GT3 and is a monster at the track.
