signs of fall

Well I did a signs of spring thread, and thought that a signs of fall would be fitting;

1) children on their way back to school

2) leaves on trees starting to change color

3) chillier nights

4) dew on the car in the morning

5) squirrels gathering their nuts

6) soon will be a harvest moon

dude Fall is my favorite season.

New England fall - dead leaves scent in the air crisp wind and open fields. FRIGGIN BEST TIME OF MY LIFE

Cooler weather, that doesn't happen here til Nov. maybe Dec., but it is perfect
camping weather at night, great for canoeing and horseback riding. Don't like the
shorter days, dark comes too early.

The shadows get long in the afternoon.
The crickets are singing up a storm.
It's cool enough not to run the A/C.
Back to school sales.
Traffic gets worse/better depending what time you leave.
The car pulls even more and sounds like a banshee.
Gas prices go down...a little.
Stores are starting to sell winter stuff :D

Autumn is my favorite season for the following reasons; time to pick apples and bake some apple pie, Halloween, big, orange Harvest moons, friends coming out from NYC for a weekend in the country, the smell of wood fires, the gorgeous Fall colors against a deep blue sky, and the season when I did the smartest thing I've ever done...said "I do" to Mr. Man one beautiful October evening in Jackson, New Hampshire. Oh! I almost forgot, it's also the season I got Carded by Big Dog Jim and found out about all the rest of you Marauder lovers. Thanks again, BDJ!

The best thing about autumn is that all the bugs die or go to sleep, up here. We have several months with zero bugs. Leave your door open all day and freeze your house out but zero bugs.
