This was the best I have ever gotten out of the tank (310-320)....I did change out the plugs but didnt expect to get this many miles out of the tank.

I didnt intend to run her dry just lost track. At fill up it was around 18.7 gallons whew talk about dry.

Holy crap!! 18.7.... Its a 19 gallon tank right? I think the most I filled was 16.x gallons, I believe the low fuel light comes on when you have about 4 gallons left??

370 / 18.7 = 19.8 mpg is the best you have ever gotten? That is close to the best I ever do. I usually get 19.x mpg 90% highway.

No Honda for me, but I got 25 MPG on my trip to, through and from the Adirondacks last week. Almost all highway, up and down White Face Mountain. Over the river, through the woods. Four people and an overfilled trunk full of camping gear.

I am running pretty lean right now, there was ZERO carbon on my stainless exhaust tips after 1,200 miles of driving.

Car did ping a bit going up Whiteface on an 89 degree day. Just dropped it into 2nd and problem solved. (it's a pretty steep grade)

We should get better then 20 Mpg on the highway, don't you think?

I don't. I drive around 75-80. Usually no cargo and up to 1 other passenger. Stock I got 20 highway, tuned I get 20 highway. 3.55 vs 3.73 gears made no difference. Stock type tires.

How are you "running lean"? If the car has a stock or out of the box vendor tune, it's certainly not going to be any leaner than normal.

My car obtains 19mpg in mixed city but mostly highway driving on average.

I have to suspect I am running pretty lean if I have no black on my tips after so many miles, and some really hard ones.

I did go into the tune with the Extreme Tune software and advanced timing and leaned the A/F as much as I felt comfortable with. Car generally never pings, unless bad gas or climbing Whiteface Mountain on a hot summer day with four people in the car....

If ya'll have a bunch of black crap on your stainless tailpipe tips, you may be a bit rich.

I set the cruise at 77 MPH in all 65 zones also. Must be are expensive gas here in Buffalo, NY....

Yeah... that is not alot... you just pushed it to the last drop of gas! I average around that, but never let it go that dry!

Ah. That is not good if you ever have so much preignition that you have audible detonation on an engine like this. Detonation occurs way before you can hear it. If you can actually hear it, that is bad bad.
