What a fun day we had today at the MM&FF luxobarge shootout!

Thanks to Mike and Ryan for coming and I was extremely impressed by their runs. Although we are not allowed to brag how great we all ran, hehehe.... you guys will have to look into the upcoming MM&FF issue but we did a great job representing this message board! Even I put this web site as a reference in the comments section on the sheet we filled out about cars, so yea, I'm a future Silver Marauder owner but am showing my full support right now.

Mike was kind enough to lend me his camera to take some pix, and I went bananas with it! I got 50MB of pictures of our cars.... (LOL we even got an OREO shot.... basically my white Vic sandwitched between two marauders) but I'll post them as soon as I get back from school.

I am burned to a crisp as well so I'll be staying up all night covering myself in aloe and posting pix of the event today!

WOW, this was so much fun, Ryan was so funny he didn't even plan to race... I talked the MM&FF guy into letting him since one of our Crown Vic guys was not able to make it, and his face just lit up when I told him the results of this race will be published in an upcomming issue of the magazine! Great job today Mike and Ryan... and Charlie who was racing my car!!!

Pix to come... late tonight.

Thank you all and especially thanks to Mike for allowing me to use his digital camera and burning a CD for me with 50 Megs of pix! You da man.

It was a great day indeed!!! The first runs we did were the quickest but as the day wore on and the temp went up so did the E.Ts I think my MM posted one of the fastest times of any I have seen posted here with the same equipment. We were asked by the magazine guy not to post any times with respect to them being able to publish times in there magazine, hey they paid for the track so its the least I can do! I got a chance to meet Russ and Ryan from this board and both are great guys.
I also met "Butch" the man responsible for the first Marauder back in the 60's and I have a picture of him wearing the same helmet he wore when he drove a prototype Marauder off the side of Pikes Peak back in the ealry 60's...what a gas!!!!
I am going away for the weekend but I am sure Russ will post all the good pictures.

Butch had skeery traction problems

Butch also had that classy "Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association, Inc." T-shirt that was tucked into his jeans... and don't overlook the Spaceman Spiff helmet that didn't come off his melon for the entire 5.5 hours that we were there!!

Actually, he did have one of the cleanest Mark VII's I've seen... very nice ride. Ultimate sleeper with that Kenne Belle supercharger.

Great job guys. I'm so pissed I missed it. If I knew I would have been there.

They have it every year so hopefully next year we'll outnumber the Lincolns... which by the way had "back-up" cars lined up under Geno's command (from LincolnMotorsport.com) but we won the bid for the extra spot for Ryan. John from Muscle Mustangs wasn't really looking forward into letting people just enter the event by showing up, but "JerseyVics" took care of that, haha! Plus Ryan did a really good job!

Here's some pix I found taken by Geno:

Oh yea... I almost forgot! Gino says "hi", Dennis! He had a couple other "choice" words to throw around, but that's the only one I feel comfortable posting. Mike and I stood by your setup while Gino attempted to lure us to his shop for some friendly dyno-dueling. I'm guessing there's some bad blood there, huh?

I seem to have a knack for that, huh? I'm just giving Dennis a heads up, that's all. I'm a DR man through and through now.
