I can't get this song out of my head, can't stop listening to it, yeah I've heard it before on the radio and such but never really listened to the words and the music, awesome, can't stop, stirring, thought provoking, evaluating, each time I listen I hear something new, awesome stuff, headphones, dark room, time to rewind... I can "see" the music in my head...

Comfortably numb is ok.... But these songs blow it away.....
Learning to fly.
Have a cigar.
On the turning way.
Welcome to the machine.
Wish you were here.
That's just a few
Yea, I really like that song by Pink Floyd. I'm assuming that's the version your talking about.
It really sends me, however, I keep losing my Pink Floyd disks, don't know who's taking them. Sons, Daughter, wife........?
Cheers,

Pink Floyd is timeless!
I remember seeing a "music video" on WNET in NY in '72 or "73 by "a relatively new group"! They aired it right after an episode of Monty Python.
That was pretty cool since MTV didn't exist.

Wow, exact same thing happened to me during the course of the last week. I never owned any Pink Floyd (they weren't in style when those chemicals were in my bloodstream) but bought and have been listening to The Wall all week.
The song that snagged me was actually the live version of Comfortably Numb with Roger Waters and Van Morrison on The Departed soundtrack, played in the background of Leo's visit to his shrink's old apartment. Good track, good scene.

IMO "Animals" and of course "Dark Side of the Moon" are Floyd's best. "Atom Heart Mother" and "Saucer Full of Secrets" are good too but a bit of the hallucinogenic side.
"Animals" should be in every music lovers collection.
Enjoy

Check out the version on the live album: PULSE. Audio, not the video. David Gilmour rules!

I don't get it, Voice: "He means me", I still don't get it. Ahh it is raining maybe that is why I'm so tired.
Voice: "no it is because you were up to 4am again watching Tila videos"
But that couldn't be it I had 5 hours of sleep.
It must be the rain, unless something was done to the paint in my room. Hmm too much to do and no time.
Hmm
I still don't get it, ...

'tis a great song, definitely an all time favorite.
Here's a cover by Dream Theater and Queensryche done on I think it was the Gigantour tour. Petrucci's end solo starts at 4:31 and is pretty dang good. I wish the queensryche guitarists would've just stepped aside and let him do his thing. Well that and Queensryche has been going downhill ever since Promised Land in the 90's. Aside from a few decent singles most of the stuff has kinda stunk after that...kinda tying in with DeGarmo's departure. (But I am curious to see their recent DVD of Operation Mindcrime...however...Op:Mindc rime 2 that they made didn't seem to pique my interest.

Wow, really like that cover. Earphones, a little natural appetite stimulant and you can get just about lost in that song.

plus this link has the Wizard of Oz set to The Dark Side of The Moon, so you can form your own opinion on if it was meant to be that way.
