I was thinking a Rzr or Smart 42 would make a good modern version.

It would be cool to drive to the airport, fly to the next one, then drive through the drive through for lunch, refuel at the gas station and fly to the next airport or drive if it's too windy, then fly when you want.

Maruaders are too heavy but a Rzr or 42 would be would be great.

Dude a RZR is NOT a ROAD LEGAL CAR, it is a Side by side UTV

So you can fly, and it wouldn't need to meet the road legal requirements this way, and can be kept light.

Using a rzr that is, would allow you to meet all the 1949 requirements, and yet have a modern vehcile to use for this.

It would not be road legal as you point out, but it would work great on private roads and at airports as well as any off road areas or farms and the like.

Military apps would also be cool.
