MTX Thunder Square 8500 10"!!!

Comes with a warning tag that says it needs 4 hours high power break in time and the cone is real aluminum and can be dented!!!!

Going in my standard 'keep the spare' box...

What does the 4 hours high power break in time mean? Do I have to blast the neighborhood for 4 hours, or does it mean to keep the power low for 4 hours?

Do I need to get a speaker cover/grill to protect the cone?

I didn't do the metal corners on this one. I felt they detracted from the solitary hugeness of this speaker.

It took #12 with #3 phillips heads to hold this monster and look right.

It would out do the Kicker. These subs are very underated. It will produce a very deep bass and is built tough. Find a dealer and go in for a demo! :beer:

That's the politically correct way of saying it would eat an L7's arse for lunch and munch the L5 for seconds!

It's nearly double the volume displacement of L7 square.

Here's the Square 5510 Vs L7. The 8510 is the same cone size but even MORE excursion!
